Behind the Scenes of Broken Law
Broken Law was an exciting film project I had the pleasure of being part of as a set photographer, capturing moments behind the scenes during the production of this Irish crime drama.
Directed and written by Paddy Slattery, the film follows two estranged brothers whose lives become entangled following a botched robbery. Set in Dublin, the story explores family loyalty, difficult choices and the consequences of living on opposite sides of the law.
Principal photography began in August 2018, with additional filming taking place in May 2019. The film premiered at the Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival on 28 February 2020.
Director & Screenwriter: Paddy Slattery
Starring: Tristan Heanue, Graham Earley, John Connors and Gemma-Leah Devereux
Official Poster Photography
In addition to photographing the film set, I was also a co-creator of the photograph used for the official Broken Law movie poster.
Being involved in both behind-the-scenes photography and the creation of promotional imagery was a rewarding opportunity to contribute to different aspects of the film’s visual identity.
